The Kota is a popular ‘street food’ that can be found in the streets of Gauteng. Follow this easy recipe to make the perfect vienna kota.
Ingredients
- 4 RICA Viennas
- 4 RICA Smoked Russians (can be swopped for cheese russians).
- 4 Slices RICA Polony
- 1 Loaf of White Bread (unsliced)
- 500g Slap Chips
- 4 Cheese Slices
- 1 can Mild Chakalaka
- Sauce of your choice
Preparation
Step One: Cut the bread loaf in quarters and hollow out each quarter, saving the top for later.
Step Two: Deep fry Viennas, Russians and Polony.
Step Three: Pour in a spoonful (or more) of Chakalaka, follow with Slap Chips, Viennas, Russians and Polony.
Step Four: Add a slice of cheese to each quarter.
Step Five: Add sauces of your choice.
Step Six: Place top part of the bread back on each quarter.
Step Seven: Enjoy your delicious Kota!
