Rica Piggery and Abattoir (Pty) Ltd is a wholly owned subsidiary of T & R Meats (Pty) Ltd trading as Rica Cold Meats. In 2001 T & R Meats (Pty) Ltd decided to purchase its own piggery, which gave the Company a reliable constant supply of our much needed raw material, Pork. We purchased an existing 560-sow unit from Hurland Livestock Company situated in the Magaliesburg area of the North West Province. This piggery is now known as Rica Piggery Magaliesburg. In July of 2002 T & R Meats (Pty) Ltd purchased and expanded a second piggery in the Randfontein area, now named Rica Piggery Randfontein.
